CHILDREN’S DAY CELEBRATION

D.A.V. Sr. Sec. Public School, Khadia celebrated the birth anniversary of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, the great freedom fighter and the first Prime Minister of Independent India as ‘Children’s Day’ with a great zeal and excitement. On this auspicious occasion the school organized various interesting activities for the children. The morning began with a special morning assembly. At first Hon’ble principal, Shri Ashok Mathur paying tribute to Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru congratulated and wished the students ‘Happy Children’s Day’ and motivated them to keep smiling forever. He inspired them to be sincere & dutiful like ‘Chacha Nehru’ to reach to the height of success. All the activities related to the morning assembly like ‘Mantra recitation’, ‘Prayer’, ‘Pledge’, ‘News Reading’ etc. were performed by the teachers themselves. The music teacher Mr.S.K.Soni sang a song dedicated to children ‘Nanhe-Munne Bachhon Tum is Desh ki Takdeer Ho’.Mrs. Pushpa Rai and Mrs. Rajani Gupta, language teachers recited inspirational couplets and mesmerized everyone present over there. After that some lady teachers played a skit on the theme “TIME IS MONEY” which entertained and inspired the children. Then Head Boy, Harshit Mishra and Head Girl, Sushmita Singh also shared their views on this occasion.

Besides this all the students enjoyed a badminton and cricket match played between teachers and students. Both the matches were won by the students’ team. The celebration of ‘Children’s Day’ ended with the distribution of chocolates among children.
