Report on 7th DAV National Sports-2019


It goes without saying that sports are an integral part of everyone’s life. sports & game teaches us how to play honestly, win honourably, loose gracefully, respect the decisions and learn the importance of time. To inculcate these values for a healthy life, DAV Institutions organize sports and games at cluster, zonal & National level and I am immensely delighted to mention that our school organized the 7th DAV National Sports-2019 Cluster-I, UP Zone from 14th October 2019 to 17th October 2019 in which total 08 DAV schools participated including our school. There were 112 boys and 106 girls for athletics and 261 boys and 168 girls for other different games.

The inaugural ceremony on 14th October marked with the presence of honourable Chief Guest Project Officer-Sayeed Ghori Sir, Guest of honour Mrs. Sahnaj Ghori Madam with worthy members of Sanjeevani Mahila Mandal & esteemed fellow Principals of participating schools sparked the occasion. The flag was raised and the torch was lighted by honourable Chief Guest & With the release of balloons and pigeons the meet was declared open. 

800-meter race (Boys & Girls) were the first two events held on 14th October 2019 in front of the dignitaries followed by various track and field events – 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, sprint (Heat) for boys and girls, 4 x 100m relay race, shot put, high jump, triple jump for boys & girls.

on 15th October 2019-100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 1500m, 4 x 400m sprint (Final) for boys, discus throw and long jump for boys & girls were held. Winners were awarded medals for their positions in the benign presence of Hon’ble Regional Officer Dr. Himansu Kumar Mohanty Sir. Hon’ble Regional Officer Sir is to be credited under whose directives, a camp fire was held in the evening of 15th October 2019 through which the students and teachers became a part of the “World Student’s Day” celebration on the birthday of Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam.

The camp fire brought a great joy & relaxation to the students who had continuously undergone rigorous practice for their athletics events for two days.  Every school got a chance to show its special talent.  Our students and teachers presented beautiful songs & dances.  The camp fire evening would remain a life long memory as in the history of DAV Khadia the special attraction was the melody cast by the honourable officials who spared their most valuable time and contributed their best to make the occasion memorable.  Reverend G.M. Sir, Shri A N Pandey & Madam Mamta Pandey -President Sanjeevani Mahila Mandal, Hon’ble Regional Officer Dr. Himansu Kumar Mohanty Sir, Colleague Principals, Respected Project Officer- Mr. Sayeed Ghori & Madam Sahnaz Ghori, Deputy Manager (Pers.) Shri Pani Pankaj Pandey gave a strong message that hobbies must be pursued lifelong along with learning through their beautiful singing.

On the third day 16th October 2019 quarter final & Semifinal of different games for boys and girls –    Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Football, Kho-Kho & Chess were played among all the schools of UP Zone.

Today on the fourth and the last day of 7th DAV National Sports-2019 Cluster-I, UP Zone, the final matches of Table Tennis, Football & Chess for boys and girls were played.
