Celebration of Mahatma Gandhiji and Lal Bahadur Shastriji ’s Jayanti in D A V PUBLIC SCHOOL, KHADIA. [Academic year 2021-22]
VENUE: - SCHOOL PREMISES & NCL Headquarters, Singrauli 2nd October 2021.
Today on 2nd October 2021 Mahatma Gandhiji, & Lal Bahadur Shastriji’s Jayanti was celebrated in D A V PUBLIC SCHOOL under the able guidance of honourable Principal Madam Mrs. Sandhya Pandey” THE CHIEF GUEST” of the occasion. The special guest was shri Ved Prakash Sir Personnel Manager of N C L Khadia in the School premises along with all the staff members.
The programme was started with flag hoisting by our chief guest Mrs. SANDHYA PANDEY Madam. Principal Madam garlanded the portraits of Gandhiji and Shastriji. After that Shri S K Soni sir sang an inspirational song and urged to imbibe good values in life “वैष्णव जन तो तेने कहिए जे पीर पराई जाने रे”. Shri Arjun Mishra sir also highlighted the values of both the leaders. Shri Anil Kumar Sir also delivered the values of Self-reliance and non-violence, truth and honesty and high moral values of both the leaders.
Principal Madam taught the values what Mahatma Gandhiji and Shastri ji followed in their lives. She also told about nonviolence, respect for all human beings, self-discipline, developing strong characters. Being a teacher, we should teach sharing and caring and follow the footsteps of Mahatma Gandhi and Shastri ji. She also stressed on” Jai Jawan Jai Kisan”. We all are attached to the roots of peasant and should not forget the duties of a soldier inside us.
Furthermore, the students of D A V KHADIA enthusiastically participated in Gandhi Jayanti celebration organized at N C L Headquarters, Singrauli. A classical dance based on the teaching of Mahatma Gandhi was presented by Rishika, Jigyasa, khsama , Sashwat and others. Live Painting of Mahatma Gandhi was also made by Shri Satya Prakash sir of D A V KHADIA Which was highly admired by one and all. He received a cash prize of Rs 5000 and a book “My Experiment with Truth”.
The programme was a great success and ended with a pledge to stay clean, keep our surroundings and workplace clean. The school is observing October month “1 to 31 October 2021 as cleanliness month.
